Art Blooms in June; New Exhibits & News

Happy June All!  Here in NJ plants are full and green, flowers are blooming and summer is only a few weeks away!  With this comes fun, free outdoor art fests as well as new gallery exhibits so if you’re in the area, I hope you’ll add these events to your list of things-to-do this month!

I’ll have a booth in this annual fine arts event located surrounding the pond at the Municipal Complex by Dunhame Corner Rd., East Brunswick, NJ.  FREE outdoor event for the whole family!  Saturday, June 6th (rain date Sun., June 7th) Food available for purchase.
Aside from my fine art photography I’ll also be selling my original jewelry, t-shirts & greeting cards!  Come by for a  fun day with many local artists!

ART GETS SURREAL & SUNNY IN NJ

ART FOR ALL TASTES THIS JUNE There’s quite an eclectic variety of art events happening all over New Jersey this month & I’m looking forward to exhibiting in them!  Whether you prefer alternative art & goth music, educational exhibits or family-friendly outdoor art fests, there’s something for everyone this month so read on… 1. I have a photo in the traveling RAYS educational art exhibit at these NJ locations: The photo started at the Somerville Administration Building. It will also hang in the Morristown exhibit beginning mid June,  Morristown Medical Center. Then in August it will move to XACT Photo Studios, Rt. 206, Hillsborough. 2. Join me for the 11th Annual Juried Art Fest on Sat., June 8th (rain date June 9) at the beautiful Municipal Pond on Ryders Ln., East Brunswick, NJ.  FREE event featuring a wide variety of local artists & craft-persons!  11am til 4pm. 3. I’ll also be vending my original t-shirts, greeting cards & jewelry at the JUNEBUG Art Fest, Main St. in Metuchen, Fri. June 14, 6-9pm, FREE event for the whole family! 4. Last but certainly not least I’ll have several digital photo collages in the alternative group art show, DADA,  at QXT’s nightclub in Newark, NJ. Menagerie of new stuff; art, jewelry & more

As we ease our way into the next season, I thought it would be a good time to sum up the summer with a general update of what my art-brain has been up to recently.  Being that I have a ton of exhibits and vending events coming up I’ve been working on a bunch of new stuff…new digital photo collages for my “X-RAYted” series,  new jewelry (one–of-a-kind!), new greeting card & t-shirt designs.  Though I hate to fall into it, the time is fast approaching where people start advertising for holiday gift sales so if you’re already getting into that mode, here are some items to consider…art gifts are unique, creative and mine are very affordable too!  Here’s a taste of what I’ve been up to artistically;

Here are three new 1-of-a-kind necklaces I made recently.  Goth/Steampunk style with vintage beads and metal charms.  Necklaces $25 ea., choker $23 (+s/h).
